All About Craft Hub

If you are a teacher of crafting or sewing and would like an amazing place to teach and to share your skills – then we offer you the perfect opportunity. We are taking bookings now for 2024. If our space fits then we would love to talk!

Our amazing studio in Salisbury is a traditional old corner shop - originally the local butchers shop. Since that time is has also been a tv repair shop, an educational bookstore and a small home for over 12 years.

Emcompassing 180m2 space including a teaching area, cutting tables, an overlocker room, bathroom, kitchenette plus a breakout zone and garden area. The Studio is airconditioned, has ironing stations and full tea and coffee facilities, microware, fridge, oven and some catering items. The property is shaded by beautiful established trees and has street parking at the door. The access via the orginal front swing doors has three steps and the back access is suitable for walkers and those with mobility conditions.

The Studio can be curated for small meetings, workshops, classes and small social gatherings. It is a bright and light crafty space with the ability to adapt to many events. In 2024 we will be taking the emphasis off SA and towards the Hub

The Studio

Our amazing studio has played host to many sewing classes for all ages. It has also hosted pop up events, showcase nights, product lauches, cocktail parties and mini fashion parades. It accomodates 120m2 in a main classroom, a workroom with high tables, a bathroom with shower, a kitchenette, breakout space and outdoor garden.

FAcilities

The studio has the facilities for all sorts of events. With seated workshop space for 10, a mounted plus a free standing whiteboard, lockable storage space for long term hirers, av equipment and fabuloud high create tables. We also offer a full kitchenette with dishwasher, fridge, microwave, catering platters, catering glassware and serving area.

Worshops

We believe this space is a unique small event venue - if you are facilitatng a hands-on workshop, class or event - this amazing old corner store has the character and charm to inspire creativty. Many are surprised when they walk in the doors and the space opens up and invites them in - opening up for creative, learning opportunities.

Layout

The Studio consists of front faced wrap around verandas, an open teaching or meeting space, a cutting or workshop space, a break out space - all filled with natural light. The drop down tables give the ability to move and change the room from workshop style to classroom.

PARKING

There is plenty of street parking right at the door on both Kellett and Blackwood Roads. If additional parking is required we often work in with the Croatian Church to see if their parking is available.

Garden

Our amazing garden features a rustic break out zone and grassed garden all shaded by an amazing tree canopy. This area is all part of the Studio and can be used for messy activites, pop up events, for kids breakout zone. The garden is fully fenced.

tRANSPORT

Salisbury Railway Station on the Beenleigh/Gold Coast Line is a 200m walk from The Studio,. We are also located 50m from the Great Circle Line bus route and the 125 route.

Location

Salisbury is located 9km south of Brisbane next to Moorooka. It is a leafy suburb with a mix of passionate residential homes and commercial businesses on the main strip. Host to many war time homes and traditional Queenslanders.

Hedge Epresso

Our fav neighbours - Hedge Expresso are open from 6.30am to 2pm and will be ready for your caffine, brunch or lunch needs. They will work with you for lunch but don't do catering.
